ZERO STARS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND but apparently you can’t leave a review without leaving at least 1 star. This location and doctors are the worst. On several occasions I have gone in for issues. Each time they have done blood work that they never call to discuss with me. I’ve even called after receiving my results to ask to speak with the Dr. Instead they schedule follow ups 2-3wks later. Each time I have read my own labs and saw that I had indications of infection and other markers of concern. Most recently I was there complaining of issues I had been experience for a few days, told nothing was wrong and sent away with no relief. I suffered for a few more days and then ended up in the hospital for 4 days. I showed the doctors my bloodwork and they were highly concerned about the lack of attention and follow up. My hospital stay could have been avoided. This is not the first or second time this has happened. Beware - these doctors do not listen or care!!
My experience at this OB-GYN practice, including interactions with Dr. Are, has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I am compelled to share my deep dissatisfaction with the level of care I’ve received.First and foremost, communication at this office is practically non-existent. It took an unacceptable amount of time for them to inform me of a critical diagnosis, and I only received this information because I had to follow up myself. This delay in communication is not just frustrating—it’s dangerous and shows a blatant disregard for patient health. The mishandling of my medical records is equally alarming. My records are filled with inaccuracies, including false claims about my treatment and health status. Despite my repeated attempts to have these errors corrected, nothing has been done. This level of negligence is unacceptable and deeply concerning.Scheduling is another disaster. I’ve received appointment notices with such short notice that it’s nearly impossible to attend. When I’ve tried to reschedule, the staff has been uncooperative and disorganized. Additionally, my records frequently indicate that I’ve seen Dr. Are, but in reality, I am often seen by PAs and nurses instead. This bait-and-switch practice is misleading and unprofessional. Despite being a patient for a few years, Dr. Are asked if we met before….The lack of professionalism at this practice is shocking. During one of my procedures, I overheard staff using inappropriate language and engaging in unprofessional conversations just outside the room. This behavior was both unprofessional and upsetting, especially during a stressful procedure.Furthermore, during an appointment, a person entered the room without identifying themselves or obtaining my consent to observe. This blatant violation of my privacy and rights as a patient is unacceptable and deeply disturbing. The final straw came when I discovered contradictions in my test results and attempted to contact the office for clarification. I was rudely hung up on, and despite promises of a return call, no one ever reached out to me. My subsequent messages have been ignored, leaving me without crucial information about my health. When I spoke to the manager about my experience and no longer wanting to be a patient, she blamed the call center passing the buck and evading responsibility when it was indeed the Massapequa office i spoke to.In summary, this practice, including Dr. Are, fails on every level—communication, professionalism, accuracy, and patient care. I would not recommend this OB-GYN to anyone who values their health and well-being. I am now actively seeking care elsewhere and strongly advise others to avoid this practice at all costs. Please look at yelp for more accurate reviews !
This place was phenomenal. The last time I went to an OB/GYN i had a rough experience. Stacy was very nice and professional as well as the receptionist and the assistant who drew my blood. I will definitely keep coming here. I’m only 20 and they made me feel extremely comfortable.
Arrive 45 mins early and they took me pretty much right in. Much to my surprise I only waited about 10 mins for the medical assistant to come back in after she directed me to leave a urine sample. After about 5 mins with her the doctor/PA came right in. Might have been the best experience I’ve had at this office. I used to have to wait for almost an hour for a doctor to come into the room. Very please with time management here is of late.
My experience has always been pleasant at this location. The nurse practitioner Stacy was amazing; its been years since an annual exam/pap smear was so effortless. The one drawback for me is that the reminders leading up to my appointment was way too much...every day there were multiple texts, calls and email even after I filled out the pre-exam paperwork. I opted out of the text messages but the calls and emails continued. I honestly dont mind reminders but in my opinion it was wayyyy too much.
The worst place! I was terrified of my symptoms and the doctor didnt even want to answer my questions, she just said Come back in three months. She didnt even close the door to the room when she told me what was wrong with me. Another thing, I had 2 appointments for an IUD and the first time they lied to me that my insurance wouldnt cover it and when I called my insurance they didnt even have any authorization from the doctor! The second time they said they didnt have my IUD and that I should order it myself! And a few hours earlier they called and said that everything was ready and made sure I would come! They probably gave it to someone else! I was there twice and I felt racism! The African American doctor pretended not to understand me and brought a white doctor! Scandalous place! Never again!
I went to them for my first pregnancy because they were close to my house but they kept sending me to the lake success location since i was a high risk, that location is so far and inconvenient. Now that i am pregnant again its the same case but they dont have Saturdays anymore so now its so hard to get appointment at that location as well. This location keep cancelling my appointment for regular check-ups due to the unavailability of the provider. Highly disappointed.
Writing this as I am in the process of unexpectedly moving, having to switch my care and Im learning that healthcare facilities are some of the most harshly reviewed establishments online. We are moving out of the area and Im actually quite sad to be leaving Garden OB/GYN Massapequa.I am an OB patient and a first time mom. My experience here has been so great - the front desk staff (and office manager in particular!) are so kind and helpful. They always have some kind of Disney movie playing on the TV, which is a small/silly thing but I look forward to it. The ultrasound techs and every doctor Ive seen here has been lovely, knowledgeable and helped me through a scary first few weeks of a high risk pregnancy. I could not be more grateful. I havent had any issues with billing or insurance (as with any healthcare, just make sure theyre in network for you, if youre concerned about costs).Only weird thing I didnt realize at first is that Garden OB/GYN is a network of facilities and the Massapequa location was a convenient 10 minutes from my home. However, some appointments (e.g., anatomy scan, bloodwork) have to be done at their New Hyde Park location, which is a bit of a hike. Not a big deal and you know in advance which appointments will be at that location, but just something to note.Additionally, due to it being a larger network, there are quite a few different phone numbers listed online and it can be confusing which one to call. Make a note or save your office managers number! I lost the card she gave me and had to call a few different numbers before getting the right one to ask a quick question about being sick and what medication I could take/if I should go to emergency room. Small thing, again, but just wanted to offer my learnings and advice.Overall, great staff and doctors!
Do NOT come this obgyn if you care about your health. because no one here cares. i felt extremely uncomfortable here. the doctor was rude to me for being expressive when i was in pain, and she prescribed me an expensive medication that she told me she’s not even sure i need because she couldn’t tell what my condition was. a week later and they have yet to call me or update the portal with any lab results, leaving me to sit here every day in pain anxiously awaiting test results that at this point seem to be being withheld from me. i have never had to go this long wondering what my condition is after an appointment and i have never had to go through the hassle that this office has put me through. from scheduling an appointment to getting lab results has all given me an unnecessary amount of stress that i wouldnt have felt had i gone to a different obgyn. save yourself the trouble and take care of yourself by NOT coming here.
Everyone Here is very nice . No long wait , neat and clean place. It was my first visit for routine checkup. Will definitely recommend to my family and friends..
Go somewhere else. I’ve been with the clinical as a whole for 10 years. 5 years at this location. Within the last 2 years they’ve completely fell off.Between trying to schedule an appt and not being able to understand the times I’m looking for. To going 6 months without being told of an abnormal result. Communication is very inconsistent and overall terrible.I had called several times on different instances for my records and results to be sent to my PCP, they were never sent.I finally decide to seek care else where and still my medical records aren’t sent. Or not everything. Patient portal not up to date. I call and request my results be published after a month of waiting for the results- I am told i am not looking hard enough… as someone who’s worked in the medical field overall this clinic is not helpful and a big waste of time. You’re better of getting your care else where.
I am not one to write google reviews, but this office deserves a ZERO!Worst location by far. I have been a patient since 2019! These people withhold information, worry you into thinking results are worrisome, refused to give results over the phone until I finally got the office manager’s number who was kind enough to do so. They place you on hold and completely forget about you. They do not return phone calls at all. They do not update the patient portal. Took them over a month and several phone calls to update portal. Which were sent as a message (not how they normally updated). The list goes on.. Overall, I had a terrible experience at this location.
DO NOT go here.. Especially if you are pregnant- I have had MULTIPLE horrible scenarios in this office, from being roughly handled, sonogram techs not knowing how to do their jobs, medications prescribed to me by a PA and the doctor not knowing about it, rushed appointment, lack of care to detail, feeling like I am being treated like a number, no personality or bedside manner, in appropriate staff interactions. All in all a complete mess I am mortified and just had all my medical records sent to a new office and doctor. This place should be shut down
I left this place feeling like I was assaulted and I don’t say that lightly. Some back story, this was a last minute appointment, since I thought something was wrong. My regular gyno didn’t have any appointments available since it was a Saturday. So I found this place on Zocdoc and booked the earliest appointment that morning. The nurse practitioner Stacy Ann Evans saw me. I was a new patient but there was no greeting. She came in and the only thing she said was “I’m here to take swabs”. She doesn’t sit down, use a light or even look down there. She is standing up and takes two swabs at once and instead of putting the swabs in my V where they were intended to go, she sticks them up my urethra. I have never in my life felt pain like that. Usually when something hurts you start tearing up. This was the most painful thing I have ever experienced, involuntarily tears just started streaming down my face before I could even process what was going on. She’s looking at me like I was crazy and goes I don’t know why this is hurting as she’s still swabbing inside my bladder. Immediately when she takes the swabs out I have this intense pain coming from my bladder. It felt like I was going to pee myself right there. She’s like well I still gotta do more swabs, as I’m laying there crying. I closed my eyes and I go just do it, that time it didn’t hurt at all. You know why it didn’t hurt, because she put those two swabs in the right place. She tells me to get dressed and she’ll wait outside to walk me to the room to get my blood drawn. Still ignoring that fact that I’m hysterically crying. I’m not sure if she realized what she had done or not but there was no I’m sorry, or why are you in pain just a blank stare as I came out of the room. She then walks me to the room where I’m getting my blood drawn. The nurse is just staring at me while I’m crying. Everyone that worked there was looking at me like I was crazy. Ofc the nurse couldn’t find a vein so she had to get another nurse to come in and draw the blood. After she’s done the nurse goes I’m sorry you had such a bad experience getting your blood drawn. Like what????? I was still crying in pain and felt that intense urge to pee. I went to go to the bathroom but the door was locked so I just wanted to get out of there. I left the office having to physically hold my V. Thank god my mom drove me. The only reason she drove me was due to the fact that I got my four wisdom teeth taken out the day before. So keep in my mind I was on an oxy, in no pain from my four teeth being pulled, yet this was still the worst pain of my life. So Im crying the whole way home still holding myself. My mom is panicking, going what did they do to you in there?? I was like I have no idea but it must have to do with my bladder bc I feel like I’m going to pee myself and have intense pressure. We get home and I try to pee. That pain was even worse than the two swabs. I was screaming in pain my mom was trying to convince me to go to the hospital. Bc at that point I still didn’t put together exactly what she did, I was in shock. I then wiped and realized I was bleeding. The bleeding lasted for 3 days, along with the pain when peeing. I’m sure the only reason I didn’t get a bladder infection was due to the fact I was put on antibiotics bc of the wisdom teeth surgery. The best part, I was so panicked that something was wrong, I literally made my mom drive me the day after my wisdom teeth were removed to get checked out AND THEY DIDN’T EVEN TEST ME FOR WHAT I CAME IN FOR. They also put something was positive in the clinical notes and I had to wait until Monday to call, and they told me yeah that was a mistake bc the tests are still in transit to the lab. This happened on a Saturday and I went to my gynecologist on Monday. I was so scared to get the exam, I explained everything that happened and she confirmed that the swabs must have been stuck up my urethra and actually sent the correct tests to the lab. I am traumatized from this situation. Please do not go here. I have never experienced pain like that in my life
HONESTLY THIS OFFICE IS THE WORST ! !! and all their offices are the same!this office doesnt help at all! Starting with the reception, they do not have a translator in Spanish, and their English is TERRIBLE!They give jobs to people from India and their English is not understood, my Spanish is better than their English. and unprofessional! There is no good communication, they are not empathetic knowing the status of my pregnancy, they force me to pay instead of waiting for the insurance or charging the insurance. They don’t work for the love of the patient, they certainly work for the love of money! And that is not being humanitarian, knowing the complication of my pregnancy, they decided not to treat me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR YOUR PREGNANCY CHECKS!A public hospital is better than this, there are translators in all languages! for better understanding and communication and help!
Horrible!!!!!! I have made my appointments and get there early only to wait until well after my appointed time to even see a doctor or specialist. Meanwhile, I receive multiple reminders via text and calling each day (multiple times in a day) leading up to the appointment- which is excessive. Ive heard nurses gossiping about other patients in front of me. I have been witness to gross practices, including nurses touching urine and not washing their hands, not using gloves to take blood, messes from previous patients in exam rooms, dust and mold collecting in patient accessible areas, etc. I also do not appreciate the conduct of the doctor when we were discussing my results. She acted like she didnt know anything about my situation even though she saw me multiple times before. At my last appointment, she asked me about my results from the ER- which were already in my file. When I had stated this, she asked me for the exact number, which I did not remember due to the traumatic experience I faced with my situation. Plus, she made my husband uncomfortable when he was there in the office. Her behavior changed when she saw him- being friendly with me but being stand offish with him and didnt even acknowledge him. Even today, I requested that a specific nurse not take my blood, since she has a hard time finding my veins and chooses to not use gloves/uses her bare pointer finder (with exposed cuts) when taking my blood. She brought in the other nurse, who had her badge turned around so that her name was covered. I heard them right outside my room, speaking in Spanish poorly about me- not realizing that I understood every word. The second nurse-shadowed by a student, set up my blood work and was about to put the needle in my skin when I pulled back because I saw that she was not wearing gloves. I asked her to put on gloves and she rolled her eyes and then said Well I put the alcohol wipe on my hand before. I was appalled by this. Absolutely terrible!
I don’t even know how to begin to put into words how wonderful my experience was with the Garden OBGYN Massapequa office, but I’m going to try! From the second I sat in the waiting room until the moment I left the office, it was an effortless and completely stress-free experience! The whole team was extremely welcoming and gave me a sense of calm I’ve never before experienced with any other OBGYN Practice. I’d like to shout out everyone who helped me today because it’s the least I can do after one of the most amazing Doctor appointments I’ve ever had. SO— Melissa and Emily, Thank you for the quick and painless check-in and check-out at reception and being so kind! Julia, you made in-take and blood-work a breeze and you have an awesome sense of humor! Nicole and Kristen, you make an AMAZING team. I was at ease through the entirety of the scan with both of your incredible bedside manners. Kristen, your sonogram skills are UNMATCHED.. You know what you’re doing and you’re amazing at it! AND last, but DEFINITELY not least, Garima, the AMAZING NP who saw me today was professional, calming, understanding, and just downright phenomenal.. I could say more about all of these lovely people, but this review would never end, so I’ll end it here. One more HUGE thank you to Garden OBGYN in Massapequa! I’ve found my forever OBGYN all thanks to ALL OF YOU!
Today was the BEST experience I’ve ever had at this practice since I started coming here back when I was 16. Dr Meeta is the best dr I’ve seen by far! I’ve had issues with misdiagnosis for awhile at this practice and finally dr Meeta told me about a cyst I have after ongoing confusion I’ve been experiencing with other doctors. I have other issues going on but thanks to her I now have some sort of answer. I am beyond greatful! Thank you Dr meeta!!! Will be making more appointments with her in the future!
Everyone here is very nice and professional. I never have to wait long and the office is always clean. I see Pam K. who is a PA-C and shes great! Always takes the time to answer my questions, very approachable and easy to talk to. I always recommend this location to my friends and family. I also appreciate that they let me change the date/time of my appointment last minute!
Stay away from there!!My spouse went here and they couldnt send her prescription to the pharmacy for 3 days. She couldnt take her medicine for 3 days because they couldnt even send a simple prescription. After long phone calls with the office, on the third day, we managed to send her prescription to the pharmacy.
Stacy Ann did my annual . She is the best . Very gentle and gave me a lot of information regarding my results . 5 stars
I really love this office! When you walk in you get a real comfortable feeling! It’s very clean and trendy. The staff was so friendly and inviting. They greeted me with smiles. The receptionists was very pleasant. The staffing on schedule that day was very helpful and kind! There was a young lady training and she seem to be really excited about working there! Also she walked me to my room. Positive attitudes every where I turned. My doctor was phenomenal. She listen to my concerns and made me feel important. I would recommend this office to my family and friends. Also the furniture was beautiful! Great service hands down! And wait time was not bad at all.
Absolute worst. They just started offering mammo in new Hyde park office. I needed a sono follow up - they thought it was a pelvic sono. Nobody reads any follow up paper work. They have drones answering the phones. I was sent on a wild goose chase all day just to get a follow up - go somewhere else. This place sucks
Josabeth is one of the best SONO Tech. and has been making our first pregnancy comfortable, enjoyable, and joy filling. But all the doctor’s bed side manners are not present making it a colder space unfortunately.
The NP and staff were extremely friendly and informative. Didn’t feel rushed, although the office was busy and wait time was minimal.
I had nothing but good things to say about the Massapequa Garden OBGYN, until now. I have been a patient with them for three years and Dr. Gopika Nadini is a gentle, kind woman.HOWEVER, I will be switching OBGYNs. This office is under horrible management. They have left me in the dark. I have been ghosted by their office manager and they have been neglectful of updating the patient portal. I have been scheduled for appointments that I didnt make in offices Ive never been to. I have been called to come in and discuss lab results, only for it to be a 3 minute discussion because they only had half the blood work results in and everything was normal. Theyve wasted my time and money. I was contacted AGAIN today to come in to discuss lab results, this time because something is abnormal, but nothing is in my patient portal. I have a PDF of all my lab results and everything is within normal range, so I dont even know what the lab team is talking about and they refuse when I ask my doctor to call me herself. And of course the Lab Results portion of the patient portal remains empty, even void of the PDF lab data that I received last week. I am so confused and disappointed with this office. In previous years, I had my lab results back within a week. I understand if there is a national delay, but the lack of communication has been disheartening. Two years ago when I did have abnormal lab results, Dr. Gopika called me herself to explain and ask that I come in for further testing. I felt cared for and well communicated with. This year is the opposite.I do not understand what has happened with this office.
Horrible experience. My appointment was 130 got there checked in and was seen by the MA. The doctor saw me shortly after said that someone will be in shortly for my sonogram shut the door and 1 hour later no one came back. I thought they had forgotten so I opened the door they all saw me, so I waited another 20 mins. All of them are talking laughing with one another not busy at all and didn’t have the courtesy to at least tell me it’s going to be a few more minutes or something. At the end I got up and left they completely ruined my whole first time experience I was so excited because it’s my first pregnancy I wanted a sonogram. I should have known betterthe reviews were already bad it’s just I wanted something close to home! But anyways I do not recommend this place at all. I know sometimesyou have to wait but there was no acknowledgement. I’m 100% sure they forget about me.
HORRIBLE STAY Away esp from Gopika Are she should not be treating patients anymore. They messed up my appts my scans and then never got back to me about my results and when she did she misinformed me of results thankfully I already went somewhere else toGet exactly what my diagnosis was after mammo she just said oh you have cancer stay away no women should be put thru what I went thru
I had a pleasant experience. From the front desk until discharge. All were pleasant and friendly. Environment very clean. The Provider made me feel comfortable and gave me necessary information.
Great office ! All the doctors and providers here are attentive and caring.
I actually left this practice due to not getting answers and always leaving frustrated but didn’t have the best experience at their garden city location either so decided to give it another chance. Today I saw Jeanine and this was the absolute best experience I have had at the gyn. She was so gentle, explained everything, and made me feel so comfortable. I will definitely be back making sure that I am seeing her specifically along with the other ladies that were there today.
*** FIND ANOTHER OB/GYN ***Wait time is absolutely insane 1-2 hour wait time.We all have jobs and can’t have an appointment at 1 and get seen at 2.No respect for others time. The Doctor spoke very poor English.Office needs a makeover.I am now going to the women’s health pavilion in Massapequa it is the best decision I’ve made. Wait time there was 5 min, every one was super sweet listened/answered all my questions. Office is super clean and the layout is wonderful.
Iv been going here for 13 years and since Lisa and Diane left, this place went to complete garbage back in 2016 it took almost 3 hours for a sono and blood work now I am pregnant with my 4th and I just had to switch my obgyn because I am 12w and due for the abnormality testing in lake success and was told at the front desk they set my appointment up for the 6th at 5:30 come to find out two days before my said appointment it was never set up and no opening were available and they are booked up for two weeks, mind you the girl at the desk who booked my appointment was also on the phone doing something else.
The office gets one star because the office was clean. Everything thing else I was unsatisfied and will never come back. As a first time patient I was greeted with two students and a NP who made no to little conversation to address my concerns and one word answers to my questions. No blood work was drawn, pap/ STI culture was taken. Only pap was sent to the lab. When requested to speak with a manager I was hung up on multiple times and place on hold for over 20 mins. DISGUSTING SERVICE. From the NP, office manager Crystal to the in office representative Danielle.
I had a great experience today! No long wait! Great interaction with every staff member I met!! I have had previous experiences that were less than 5 star in the past and today was redeeming. Whatever changes you made they worked. 😀 thanks!!
The staffers were pleasant along with both doctors that I saw. The place is clean and patient friendly. It’s a get in and get out thing for me which I love, they don’t have you waiting too long to see the doctor or to check in and out.I’m glad that I found this place, looking forward to have them as my permanent doctors going forward.
Dr Are is very attentive and answers all questions and concerns with patience. I love how she shares her emotions when discussing reports and connects to her patients. Most importantly, she is very responsive for any kind of emergencies during non-office hours. She has great empathy towards her patients, making all visits very comfortable. She provides excellent guidance. Nurses and other patient care representatives are very friendly making the entire visit very pleasant. Also, wait time is never too long!
I was greeted warmly by the receptionist, who explained my insurance to me and one of several doctors, who was friendly and answered the questions I had about future tests and gave me accurate directions as to where to go.Im new to this office but a friend and her daughter come here and encouraged me, and I feel very comfortable here.
Been going to Massapequa location for past few years. Very kind and helpful staff, they have very flexible availability to accommodate anyone’s schedule and never waited more than 5 - 10 minutes to see the doctor. I faced a bit of a challenge to connect regarding insurance questions I had, but received all the answers I needed with help of Naica- Patient Care Representative andKrystal- office Manager, who kindly took their time and guided me in the right direction. Despite how busy they are I greatly appreciate they took their time to help me and answer all my questions!
This place is 00000 ratings, unprofessional..they never get back to you with your results after check up ...dont waste your time going here you will regret it totally waste of time every nurse is a trainee no professional doctors...I dont ever write a review but this experience was truly the worst I have seen ...no communication with a doctor..good luck to the new mothers who choose this place as their gynecologist it is a mess...my daughter experience the same thing she is still waiting for a results from a papsmear been 2months now..
I’m very big on time, I was in and out in 47 minutes for my yearly check up and scans, also, staff is very friendly!
It was my first experience at this location. The parking could ve better but the office experience more than makes up for it. I waited less yhan 15 minutes to start my appointment. Saw the Doctor, not a NP. Had some annual testing done. Received those results and was leaving within 45 minutes. Fabulous! The doctor explained the testing to me and also answered my questions to within this time. Clean bill of health. Till next year! Staff was wonderful.
I have been coming to this location for years, more and more it’s becoming such a hassle. You get an appointment time and date , you get in the room and then you wait for over an hour. It’s ridiculous. They ask you to use the bathroom for anytime sample and the bathroom is filthy , there are no cups for a urine sample. I will be looking for another Gyn to go to. It’s unfortunate because they used to be very good.
The staff from the front desk wasVery respective and very nice and friendly. They made me feel very comfortable. doctor Linda was able to explain in detail. Thank you obgyn staffNever change.
Everyone was efficient and thorough. My Dr explained everything to me
I wish I could give zero star. They dont follow patient rights, and they didnt let me know the test that was being done, and now I got bills from them as well as the lab that they sent. I tried to speak to them because it didnt happen with my privous pregnancy. They just told me that the bill is going to collections. Now I am reading the reviews and I notice that a lot of people are experiencing that same and now I am following one recommendation to submit a complaint to the New York State Department of Health regarding your practices.
Honestly I love coming here! They are quick and efficient and listen to any concerns you have. Everyone is friendly and I don’t have any particular doctor to go to because they are all great! Recommended this place to all my friends and I wanted to write here to recommend them to you as well.
Idk where to even begin, but I hope this helps anyone looking to go to this gynos office...DO NOT DO IT! I used to go to their Commack location but after COVID their hours of operation there was limited, so instead started to go to there Massapequa location. This location has cancelled on me the day of my appt just an hour before hand. They have also called me hours before my appointment to ask if I can come sooner, so I said ok, then called me minutes after to ask if I can come in NOW. Pros are: Most of the office staff is friendly to me at least. There is one lady there that is for a lack of a better word MISERABLE and rude and gives me dirty looks. Good riddance to her. You can get most of your issues prioritized while in the office, but the Cons are endless! It takes forever to reach someone on the phone 9 times out of 10 and I have been hung up on 2x already in a matter of a week trying to get through to someone. I do not think it is on purpose, but still inconvenient after waiting on the phone for 10 - 15 min for a human being. They have an automated line, a third party CSR, and automated text messages confirming your appointment up to 8x a day every day until the day of. This has previously never happened to me, but oddly occurred recently for a whole week to the point that I had to tell the CSR to please remove me from their call list and blocked most of their automated numbers texting me. The doctor recommended I mentioned to the gyno I was spotting during the deed and wanted to know if there was something I could do about that. She said it was because I had vaginal dryness and recommended Replens, but it turns out what she recommended to me was for vaginal moisture and not a lubricant for sexual activities at all because it actually causes unusual side effects as well as that product has a large volume of health complaints in regards to infections do to the ingredients. I had to learn the hard way after using it for 2 weeks. That is not the worse part...the worse part is...I AM WARNING ALL WOMEN...THEY SENT ME FOR A MAMMOGRAM AND BLOODWORK THAT CAME BACK ABNORMAL AND IF IT WASNT FOR THE FACT THAT I WENT ON THE PORTAL MYSELF AND ZWANGER PESIRIS OFFICE CONTACTED ME DIRECTLY I WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN AND THIS OFFICE WOULD HAVE TAKEN THEIR SWEET TIME TO GET ADDITIONAL EXAMINATIONS DONE! THIS IS NOT OK!! I HAD TO CALL THEIR MANAGER 2X JUST TO REQUEST AN EXPEDITED ULTRASOUND REFERRAL AND I HAVE TO SENT MY BLOODWORK TO MY TREATING DOCTOR NOW TO FOLLOW UP WITH THEM INSTEAD SINCE THIS OFFICE WILL NOT ANSWER OR GET BACK TO ME ON ANYTHING. DO NOT GO HERE!!**It took the owner an hour to respond to a Google review simply because it affects your image YET cant respond to a phone call! I called your office back this morning due to abnormal bloodwork and were on hold for 10 min before someone picked up and put me on hold again just to say I need to speak to someone in their lab department and she would connect me...instead their phone hung up on me and when I called back to be connected with the lab I was on hold for 20 min and no one and this is not the first time this has happened! I have left msgs in the past for the lab in regards to my hormonal bloodwork back in 2021 and no one would call me back. You can give that long winded response to look good to those looking into this post, but it will not change the poor quality of your practice! I have given this practice too many chances. Not worth it again and I will be taking all my records over to another practice.
I’m disgusted with the negligence and mistreatment by this group. Garden obgyn tested me on September 11, and now a month and a half and many calls later, I’m still in pain daily and have not heard back from my provider, the office, or any staff over the customer service line. I have been told on four separate occasions that o would be contacted to be told my lab results and a plan of care, but I was never contacted and 47 days later am still in pain, discomfort, and infection. I practically begged for someone to explain my results to me and give me a plan because I would do anything to not be in pain anymore. I’ve been experiencing this issue for nearly a year and despite being told I would speak to my provider today and finally get my diagnosis the second time I called I was told my doctor isn’t even in today. That I could not speak to any other provider or professional to get help until next week. Not only have I been sick weeks longer than I needed to be, but my insurance was improperly billed so the labwork that should have been covered is not. I hope if you’re reading this you protect yourself and stay far away from this seemingly harmless practice. Good luck and go elsewhere ❤️UPDATE- I was informed today that the testing that I was told would be done was never actually done. They told me they would test for two things and only took one swab. Instead of being transparent and communicating this mistake, I waited almost two months to find out they didn’t even test the thing I went in for. They made an executive decision to do one test and ignore the other without making any attempts at contacting me or asking for another swab. Extremely upset and disappointed, I wasted so much time hoping that they would provide the minimum necessary care to me and they not only couldn’t do that, but didn’t even tell me. What a waste of my time and an extension of my infection and pain. Really shocked by the negligence of this entire organization. Like I told everyone I spoke to, I hope this practice can learn from their mistakes so this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
The front desk girls were very helpful. Dr Are is patient, mild mannered, confident and appears to have experience and knowledge with her. Shes kind and can make you feel very comfortable. The girl from ultrasound was great. Christine - who did my blood work- was especially kind and patient to answer my questions. I cannot say the same for her Polish coworker. This lady appeared exhausted, irritated, annoyed and demonstrated to be snappy altogether. Because of that I removed one star.
Everything went nice , smooth and fast . Staff was great too .Thank you Garden obgyn
I have to say I am very disappointed with this office. I dont have a high risk pregnancy, however they push for me to get a sonogram each time I visit, even if I am going in for an annual check up or for a simple office visit to go over my lab test results. Every sonogram requires a $90 copay and it isnt necessary every two weeks especially if I am not a high risk patient. When scheduling an appointment with them, they dont label their appointments, so when you show up the day of, they are clueless as to the reason you are there. Also, I had to call multiple times in multiple days to get some lab test results they said they were having issues uploading into the patient portal, they left me hanging and I had to go all the way to their office to have them print them out for me as a last resort. I was never informed of the hospitals they are affiliated with or received some sort of guide book for pregnancy especially as a first time mom. Overall, I would never recommend this office, I have already switched doctors and have noticeably had a better experience.
This location is a joke. Was lied to twice that I would see the doctor for my appointment and then my follow up and they just claimed oh must be a mistake with the call center. I never spoke to a call center, just the front desk where they have no idea what’s going on. I’m not convinced an actual doctor even works there because they haven’t made any appointment that was scheduled with tbh em and the staff said she just didn’t show up the day I had my follow up. The facility is dated and not clean and the staff isn’t friendly and seemingly does not know what’s going on. Highly highly do not recommend.
I had a great experience here and will definitely be going back. My appointment was right on schedule and I felt like it moved efficiently without being rushed. I feel like the doctor really took her time with me and gave me her undivided attention. Everyone was extremely warm and kind. Will definitely be going back
Very happy with my experience at Garden ObGYN. They are always very helpful and knowledgeable. I have been to many obgyns and have been unhappy. Since, I have been going to Garden obgyn, I have been able to tackle and manage the feminine aspects of my health and body with ease.
Great first time experience at this facility …all staff were very friendly and caring..
Always a great pleasure visiting Massapequa location the girls oh my lovely team couldn’t ask for better
The staff are friendly, helpful answering questions, walking you to the exam room, letting you know who and what would take place. Everyone had a 😃 smile. Made me relax (I was very concerned about my condition). This was my first visit at Garden OB/GYN Massapequa
I’m a student who rotated here and cannot recommend Dr. Are enough! You see things differently on the provider side and she goes above and beyond to treat her patients well. She is knowledgeable and great with procedures. I would completely trust her to treat my family
Irresponsible teamAfter my mammogram, I was advised to get a biopsy. I was very concerned and worried, was on pins and needles. By luck, yesterday, Weds, we found out that the pathology results were sent to the office on Monday. They failed to call me to schedule a discussion of the biopsy result. If I didn’t call, who knows when they’d have called me. I’m already worried sick of the possible outcome. We called the office to confirm that they received the report but we couldn’t bc ppl answering the phone are in different country. They advised I call the office manager to confirm. I called the manager and left a voice message. Sadly still waiting for them to call me back. Btw, they won’t tell you the results of the test over the phone, they want you to book an appointment and come in the office(more $$$). They don’t care if you’re worried sick.Since no one called figured let me schedule an appointment anyway in case they had the report. We went into the office and waited over an hour and finally saw the doctor. The doctor couldn’t explain the results as she didn’t sound confident in her responses to our questions. She advised us to see a specialist to clearly explain the results. So we waited days and scheduled an office visit to be told to see a specialists. Extremely unprofessional and very disappointed. Needless to say we’re not going back to this office or its affiliates. If you’re going to reply pls spare me your insincere apology as seen on your other negative reviews. Btw sent this review from my alias. If you’re gonna look me up last name is bodur
Front desk very friendly. Physicians Assistants especially Pam are great! The office manager Krystal at the massapequa location is awesome!!!! I had a question for her and she took care of it and called me back right away.
I have NEVER had a worse doctors experience than here. The staff is kind however I have never waited less than an hour for my appointment to start and then when I finally get to the back and change into my gown I am stuck waiting for another hour NAKED so I can’t even go outside to ask where my doctor is. A vaginal swab which should only take 5 minutes end up taking 3 hours. When calling you will be on hold for anywhere from 10-40 minutes. It took them 2 weeks to provide my medication. when I called they said it was sent and told me the wrong diagnosis and when I asked them about that she said oops I was looking at the wrong patient. It then took another multiple days for them and phone calls from me for them to send it to me. By the time is was sent my insurance had changed and I had to pay for it which I didn’t mind it’s just not fair that I had to spend that money when I shouldn’t have in the first place. I have been going here from 15 years old and I’m 19 now. The only reason I haven’t gone somewhere else is because I was too young to choose a new gynecologist. A gynecologist is where you are at your most vulnerable and I feel like they’ve taken advantage of that. Again I’d like to say the staff is kind.
Linda Brady was phenomenal! She made me feel very comfortable and she’s really sweet I would definitely recommend! The whole staff was great but Linda took her time and explained everything to me !
The ladies here are amazing! The provider Kaur took her time to address any questions or concerns I may have. Shoutout to Josabeth for making me feel comfortable & the sweet front desk Daniellie. This is my spot now! Efficient and very knowledgeable staff.
Very kind staff! I never have to wait too long in the waiting room or through my appointment, but they never rush me out like Im a burden. I always get a very helpful, friendly, and informative doctor that makes sure theyve taken care of all my needs and concerns before I leave. The nurses are also just as friendly and very helpful. Its quick and easy to make an appointment and they always have flexible availability! If I ever have to make a change to my appointment, somebody is always answering the phone right away and assisting me promptly. I have been very happy with Garden as my provider for years
I give them 3 starts I was there for the first time NP Jacqueline looks like she was in a rush during my visit however I was able to tell her my concerns. Thank you to the Receptionist wonderful service
Worst OBGYN you can ever attend! The wait is long, including appointment is around 2hrs- who has 2 hours to waste? They are always running late and mess up your time schedule. On top of that they messed up my insurance which resulted in me paying more out of pocket and trying to get some help from billing- no luck as everyone leaves and doesn’t tell the next person who deals with your case. The receptionist has so much attitude not sure why you work there! And after leaving, 3 years later I’m still getting calls for check ups, even though each phone call I have told them I will never step foot in your place ever again and secondly I don’t live in this state. Trust me ladies go to a more respectable and friendly place, as this is not the right fit! They take your money and do nothing in return!! Save your time, money and sanity!!!!!!
Danielle was incredibly caring and wonderful! Thank you a million to Danielle!
DR.Are gors out of way to always help ne abd nake me feel comfortable.I think Im the okdest patient she has! LolShes very thorough , professional and sweet!
I had some positive experiences and some negative experiences at this practice but most were not good. First I can say the wait time is good your never there for more than 2 hrs you’re usually out in less than an hour. The medical assistants are very nice and so is most of the other staff. The first annoying thing is that they make you go to New Hyde for a lot of appts. They don’t do anything much different at those appts so I don’t get why you have to go that far for and ultrasound that they can do at the office. One of my biggest problems with this office is that they don’t deliver anywhere and they don’t tell you this! In the beginning of my pregnancy I was told to select what hospital I wanted to deliver in from a list and I chose South Shore University and they said ok. Every once in a while they would ask me again and I chose the same one. I had to go to the hospital once and when I went they told me “ you do know Garden Obgyn doesn’t deliver here” I was so shocked, because I had mentioned several times I was going to deliver there and no one ever said they didn’t. She proceeded to tell me that if I came there to deliver it would be whatever doctor was on call that day. I was really annoyed! I then contacted the manager for Garden Obgyn and was told that they no longer deliver there they only deliver in Good Sam and some other hospital on the island. I had to chose Good Sam. A week before my scheduled induction I go to Good Sam because I’m getting contractions and as I’m getting treated she tells me the same thing, Garden Obgyn doesn’t deliver here. I was so frustrated and was so confused because my induction was scheduled there. I ended up having to get induced that day and delivered in Good Sam where they took really good care of my baby and I. The on call doctor was very nice and did a great job. Another negative experience was that they didn’t preform the right glucose test on me so my baby had to get poked twice to test blood sugar levels. The nurse even told me to complain because all that could’ve been avoided them doing the right test! I needed a gestational diabetes test not just a regular glucose test that you give anyone. Would I recommend this office to any pregnant women No! Would I come back here my next pregnancy No! But maybe if it was just a regular visit.
I had a great experience. The staff are kind and I love the fact that I didnt wait long to be seen!Glad Ive found my OBGYN to be at!
Dr. Are had great bedside manner and was very informative. She was patient and kind. I truly felt comfortable with my visit from walking in for the first time to the end where she spoke with myself and my Fiancé. The office is very nice and inviting. We are looking forward to our next appointment.
Ive been to this practice a few times now and today was my worst experience. The front desk staff and the PA were incredibly friendly as they normally are. I had an unusually long wait time waiting for the sonogram tech who was the rudest person. I am not sure why she evens works in this location since she is clearly not a good fit for their friendly culture. She had the worst bedside manner, was abrupt, didnt really give clear instructions and made the entire experience very unpleasant. I felt terrible for the younger woman that has to work with her. She really makes you feel like you are in a government hospital in a communist, cold war country. She brings down the quality of the entire office and makes it seem like a low budget office. I highly advise avoiding this tech- I wish got her name but I did not. She is the blond woman with an Eastern bloc/Russian accent.
Practice is clean. Staff is very friendly. Did not wait long. Dr. Gopika Are was fantastic. She was courteous explained everything I needed to know. When test was done she took me in her office and went over the results. I would highly recommend the practice.
I just want to take the time to thank Theodora Berry, WHNP Personally. She was very professional and so caring. The practice would benefit from having more people like her around.
RUNNNN AWAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!They don’t deliver you if you’re pregnant —You never get a phone call backI was anemic for an entire month and a half while pregnant to the point where I needed iron infusions - and no one told me. !! When I asked why no doctor has contacted me regarding my SEVERE iron deficiency they told me they’ve been busy. Also I tried calling the “emergency line “ for a week straight for a doctor and an office manager kept answering for me to leave a message… how many messages can I leave ??! Horrible practice I don’t know how they’re legally open and serving patients… I left the practice obviously.
First time at this location and I felt like I was home. The ladies at the front desk were super nice and helpful. I believe the Doctor I saw today was Linda so comfortable talking to her and answered all my questions. Thank you.
I was hesitant to going to a new Gyno since my insurance didn’t cover my old doctor. However, I was throughly impressed with this office. I met with the PA Julia and she was very attentive and through with addressing my issue. I had to get a sonogram as well and bloodwork during my visit and the staff there were wonderful as well! I also really loved the front desk staff Liz she was very kind to me. Also, they had a very nice waiting room area and very relaxing music playing in the office. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
Not sure why this place has good reviews . Heard a employee crying over how she was spoken to by her boss. Dr.Terrani speaks to his staff in a disgusting manner and tone . He degrades his workers and be littles his patients. Not sure what an employee could possibly due to receive this treatment . I am concerned for patients .These reviews must be fake or the actual little good providers that they do have . Call center staff is wonderful and always helpful when I call. They try their best to help me when they can . They always revolve an problem that the office made . However I called today and was told they are only allowed to be on the phones with patients for less than 5 minutes . Not sure who made those rules but it is absurd . Receptionists and MAS are by far the worst and do not help. My prescriptions are never sent correctly until I have to call and get it resent or contact someone on Klara . Only come to this place because it takes Medicaid insurance . Would not recommend to come here unless you really have to .
It is always a pleasant experience. The staff are super friendly and cordial. They try to make you feel comfortable and know they are there for you. The facility is clean and cheery. They follow the covid protocols rigidly. They accommodate you if you should run late also. You are sure to receive exceptional care for you and or your unborn child👍🏾👍🏾 and beyond. I take my baby along if I have no one to watcher and they accommodated her as well. Thanks Dr. Are- you are superb🥰
Eleanor and the PA -in -training were very thorough as was the ultrasound tech :)I also enjoyed my conversation with the nurses who welcomed me … Michele (wearing Barbie pink) and her partner whose name i forget at the moment. Both extremely nice
The office was great. All the calls and texts were very annoying..
Went there for 4 times and never meet the doctor always new PA (different PA whenever i visit there) better go somewhere else!!
I had a great experience! The nurse was a sweetheart, she made my time go by fast. It was comfortable, and not much of a waiting period. The actual doctor didn’t pay much mind to me, but I guess it’s understandable due to my personal reasons. I was there for a check up and refill on the pill. I recommend to anyone, though! It’s a clean area and safe environment, mostly everyone is friendly and know what they’re doing.
Getting things done was a great experience, everyone is nice and helpful. Although I never understand making appointments here because I end up waiting an hour if not more in the waiting room alone, as do others. Still a great experience behind closed doors just don’t understand and think this should be fixed somehow.
I NEVER write reviews but this is deserved. You’d think I’d be exaggerating when I tell you I waited 3 HOURS for my first appointment which took 15 minutes. That’s #1. #2 they mixed me up for another patient and put me in the sono room for a sonogram when I didn’t need one. It’s a good thing I said something right before they did the sono. #3 If I call them they’ll tell me my provider will call me back.. they NEVER do. #4 they’ll tell you you don’t have a balance due then they’ll slam you with it and the billing department will harass you until it’s paid even when it’s been only A month. Billing department is so rude over the phone.
The staff is very friendly and efficient. I went in for my second appointment at 7:00pm to have my blood work discussed and the wait was an hour and a half. The PA didn’t even know where my chart was and everyone was running around the office trying to close up. Once read my blood work results I felt as if things were not resolved and I was given a diagnosis I did not agree with. There was no attending practitioner to discuss this with. I was very unhappy with this visit.
Very detailed, through and precise. The staff there is also very friendly
I went to Garden ONCE, Four Years Ago. The doctor was fine, nothing crazy. I ended up going back to my usual doctor, she was away on vacation for a month and that is why I went to Garden. However, my review is not about the patient care at Garden but about the persistent phone calls and text messages from them. Again, I have not been there in four years, and I am still getting phone calls and text messages after repeatedly being asked to take me off their list. I have asked five times now and was sent another text message this morning. Im sure their OBGYN care is fine but they need to fix their systems.
Firstly, front end staff doesnt know how to read an insurance card. I provided them with Multiplan PHCS medical insurance with Cigna pharmacy information printed on the same card. They denied the card saying that was a pharmacy card. I am a pharmacist myself and felt helpless as there is no way I could explain them that it is the medical insurance. I even asked to speak to someone else who is more knowledgeable but in vain. I wish I could speak to some office manager who could have solved the issue. This is not the customer service I expect.
Everyone was wonderfulDanielle at the front and dr Freycinet made me feel so comfortable also the girl who did my blood work was great (sry didn’t catch her name )
Staff are friendly, the building is very clean warm and welcoming. The Doctor is very thorough with her checks to me as a new patient. Thumbs up to all. I also recommend that you check out the office for yourself, you will not be disappointed. Nuff love and respect🙏🏽👍🏽🙌🏽😬😇❤️
PA Pam is wonderful. All the girls are friendly and make you feel comfortable. But the confirmations you get through text messages ìs too much. You get harassed for 4 days before the appointment. To many reminders.
Garden OB/GYN Massapequa is absolutely wonderful. From the time you walk through the front door everyone is amazing. My home is actually closer to several other offices which I have never been to because I absolutely love every experience at Massapequa. Every single staff member from the doctors, to receptionists, to office managers create such a warm and safe environment. Dr. Are is wonderful and refreshingly honest and frank.
Did a transfer of care and just love the team, from the front desk staff to the sono tech to Sarah who, on her first day, she took my blood and did an awesome job! Happy to be here now :)
I have yet to receive my results from test of cure . . . I called multiple times I spoke to crystal who is the manager of the Massapequa office and her manager no one have helped truthfully they dodge my calls after I spoke to them which I have proof of that as well …. They retested me for something that I never ever had so wth ….. no one has got back to me plus they billed my insurance and I paid my copayment just for me not to have answers and in 4 days it will be a month . . They use coffee cups to collect the urine in so I should have known …. At this point I have to get lawyer because they delayed my care with no care ! I should kno if the medication they gave me worked but no aftee almost 4 weeks no one even gets me answers I have screenshots of me even messaging them through my patient portal ! They gave me medication to treat something I came back to make sure the medication work and then I never heard anything now I because of them not following up or pushing this in to a urgent matter I have more healthy problems due to not knowing the medication did not work so yes this is deeper than a review
I am a new patient to this office and found it to be very clean and well organized. Front desk staff and nurses were really warm and receptive. Dr. Are was great, thorough with her exam and explained to me clearly about my problem. They have the Sonogram in the office which is very convenient as she looks at the results right away and discusses with you. I would highly recommend Dr. Are and Garden OB/Gyn!
Dr. Are, Christine and the staff were great! Friendly, attentive and welcoming... this was my first visit as a new patient & it couldnt have gone better. Top notch!
Unfortunately the office had an emergency last week and needed to close for several days so my appointment was changed to the following week. Normally I wouldn’t have cared much but being that I had an urgent problem it was pretty frustrating. I’m pleased to say that the staff was right on point with calling and making sure I had a new appointment within a few days. The staff at Massapequa Garden OBGYN are always very friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The office is very clean and trendy. The only downside about my appointment today was that the doctor brought a student into my room to shadow her and asked if I mind if she stayed there... I would’ve appreciated if she had asked me While the girl was in the hallway because it made me feel bad saying no in front of her. I just said yes to avoid any more uncomfort. She breezed through the appointment and was really quick with her responses to my questions which in turn made me feel rushed. On a positive note I have delivered a healthy baby girl 6 years ago through there practice and I had such a pleasant labor and delivery. Dr Christina Ramirez was such an amazing Gynecologist and really “held my hand” the entire pregnancy.
I was with this gyno for years, it started out as a great experience and then began to rapidly decline.I received an iud and was told I had the Paraguard, which is good for ten years. Now I know that the paraguard is anti hormonal and you still have periods but I was also told mine was hormonal so for years I just assumed that there was an iud that lasted ten years that was anti hormonal. Then I began to look up “non hormonal paraguard” and couldn’t find anything. So I called the office to confirm which IUD I had and they assured me that I had the paraguard.I ended up leaving this gyno because I was fed up with the wait times and the way the doctors always seemed to rush in and out. I told my new gyno that I had the paraguard and she said if I don’t have a period there was no way I had the paraguard. I went straight to garden obgyn to clear this up and again they told me I had the paraguard and I told them that was misinformation. Upon looking further into my records they told me I had the kylena.Had I stayed with garden obgyn, I would have had an expired IUD for five years and potentially a lot more health issues. I mean this kind of thing is grounds for malpractice. Before leaving the office manager took me to her office to apologize and let me know she understood the consequences of a mistake like that.I’m just grateful I followed my gut and left when I did.
Can’t say much for the care but….after countless texts, making an appointment, more countless texts to confirm said appointment, waiting on hold about half hour to speak with someone regarding my appointment because I noticed on the preregistration paperwork sent via email the purpose of the visit was not what I was going in for. Got that straightened out. Arrived a little early, checked me in and brought me back relatively quickly, spoke with a friendly I assumed medical assistant for a few minutes and reiterated the specific reason I was there. Then I was left to sit idly undressed in a room for a very long time. After a while I decided to start reading the reviews did this for about a half hour. The more I read the more I started to realize what was happening… this was going to be just like what I was reading. No one ever showed up so I decided to save myself from the headaches from the run around ahead..I got dressed and left.
I’ve been a patient of Garden since 2018 and I’ve had 2 babies during my time as a patient at this practice. The practice has progressively gotten worse over the years. The last straw was today. I had an appointment, which was confirmed(I have text messages to show the time and date of my scheduled appointment). The practice didn’t have my appointment on the schedule for some reason-they said maybe it was the Zocdoc system and I should have called the practice myself to confirm before coming-even though I had a confirmation text and email already! I had to take off from work for this appointment and even filled out the registration which I was sent before my appointment. I was told they don’t have time to take me in today and to make an appointment another day. I’ll be finding another practice after this awful experience and waste of time.
The staff was very polite, made me feel welcome. Thank you Garden Obgyn!!!
Went here as a first time patient because I’m new to the area & needed a check up; The receptionist were kind even though I was late, help me setup. The wait was the shortest I’ve experienced so that was nice. The provider I was seen by was really sweet & understanding because it was my first exam ever, she also took the time to educate me which I loved! Such a comfortable experience
THEY WERE ALL SWEET AND KIND AND GOT GREAT NEWSTHANK YOU
I like the providers thatI had but its insane how they NEVER GET BACK TO YOU!! i called them 3x because i was considered about my lab results and no one got back to me. If you come here make sure you have your questions prepared cause once you leave no one will get back to you. i had to go to my pcp just so they can explain it to me and it only took 5 mins for them to explain it! Once i find another ogbyn i will NOT BE COMING BACK!!
Not the one to usually write a bad review but I’ve had enough! This office is constantly changing my appointments without my authorization. I arrive at my appointment time to be told that I can’t be seen. I said I wasn’t leaving without being seen. Unfortunately, I was seen my Jessica PA. I’ve never met a person so dry and dismissive, showing absolutely no interest in my concern/issue so she could get me out the door. Not to mention not sending in my medication that I’ve called in 3 times to request. This is the last for me. I will definitely be going elsewhere. If you can avoid her please do!!!
This is my second review and the only reason I’m leaving it is because there is no other way to get through to anyone in this office. I’ve been reaching out for days with zero response in regards to a question about an upcoming appointment and questions about my medications prescribed. Each time I talk to someone they have no clue what I’m talking about… even when they say they’re reading the transcripts of their text service! No one calls you back, the Doctors are insanely heartless. I’ve only had a good experience with the PA I saw once but from whoever is answering phones (not clear if its all center staff or actually the girls at the desk who are usually very attentive) and the heartless, misogynistic, and fatphobic Dr. Are… seek care elsewhere!!! Due to 2 other issues OF THE EXACT SAME NATURE, the front end manager Krystal gave me her direct line to reach her and even giving ample time for a response (a day between messages) and only trying to reach out through business hours… no confirmation from anyone that they’re looking out for my well being. At this point, I’m convinced they misdiagnosed me because they won’t give me access to the portal to get my records or send them to me. If I don’t hear back from someone regarding my care I’m seriously looking to proceed with a malpractice case for complete negligence.
I received a call from Naica she was very pleasant and addressed my issue. I feel that she understood what I was upset about and was able to help me
Dr. Are, as always, welcomed me with a warm and caring greeting. She took time to ask about the well-being of my family prior to examining me. Her wonderful bedside manner made the visit well-worth it!The nurse assisting her was warm and friendly as well!
Nurse practitioner Sara Burns is super friendly and great at her job! My experience in 2019 was not a good experience but I decided to give it another try and I’m very glad I did! I felt very comfortable all of the ladies were so nice and I was seen right away!
Initial review = 1 star rating..If I could rate five stars for Dr. Are, I would. This rating is in regard to the practice And clerical staff itself.I see that the owner sees these reviews. At this point, I am trying to reach the owner.I am a high risk pregnancy patient in both Massapequa and Lake Success. I cannot understand The following.. I have reached out to a surgical coordinator TWICE to schedule my c section. I have not heard back. I have reached out to the office manager because the surgical coordinator has not contacted me. And the office manager did not return my call either. As a high risk patient, the LAST thing I need is stress. And let me tell you, this is NOT the first Time I have had major issues with the clerical staff.Dr. Are has made clinical aspect run smoothly and I am very pleased with her care. She is the only reason I am staying with the practice at this point. I am giving the benefit of the doubt that I won’t have any issues scheduling my c section and hospital stay.I am really hoping to reach The owner so problems can be resolved and I can have the happy, healthy, stress free delivery that I deserve.Updates rating to 3 stars ( I’m not sure how to add another review). Pamela A. has reached out to me to rectify The above situation. I feel more comfortable that I will be taken care of for delivery. I hope that you are able to advise staff to return phone calls and emails timely to patients to avoid reviews such as mine. Thank you for your time and cooperation.
I go to the Massapequa office and my experience is usually good there. I arrived on time, and was seen shortly after I got there. Everything went smoothly. I was nervous I wasn’t going to make my meeting that I had scheduled after I my appointment, but because I was in and out I was on time for my meeting. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because upon checkout the girl at the front was very loud with my health information when trying to get assistance in writing a prescription for me.
Receptionist was professional and nice. I was also seen right away.
My appointment went very well from admission to my physical exam. I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out paper work and check-in. I found this office busy but well organized and clean. Dr Are made me feel comfortable and my annual exam went smooth.UPDATE:Although they rely on the patient portal and did not follow up on my test results. I had to look at my tests results several times to get answers and was surprised about one of my results. Please get back to real live Doctor to patients explanation of results when there is a problem. It is very confusing to some and can be detrimental to a patients life.
Great office! Staff is super friendly/knowledgeable. Doctors are awesome. They answer all of our questions. Love that my husband is able to come to every appointment. I also love that we get to see a sono every appointment! We couldn’t be happier with this practice and this location specifically!
I always like coming to Garden because all of the services you need are in one location… you need a pap? No problem, an ultrasound? Bloodwork? You got it! Great patient care, I arrived about 20 mins late for my appointment, granted it was a quiet morning in the office they still honored my appointment and saw me. The staff is super nice in the Massepequa office, they try to help all patients to the best of their ability.
This was my first time ever going to a OBGYN, I was super nervous at first but the nurses and doctor were super sweet and made the entire experience comfortable. Not only that but a plus is that in the waiting area they have TVs that play shows/movies on Disney+ so if you have children in the waiting area with their other parent, they’ll be entertained! I really like this practice and really recommend it.
Everyone was just so pleasant there. I had no problems getting an appointment as a new patient using their text messaging. I got my appointment within a week from the day I contacted them. I was taken on time and pleased with the care that I received. Glad I was referred to this practice.
The staff was courteous and efficient. I didn’t wait at all. The physician assistant asked me lots of questions and asked about my concerns. It was a pleasure!
PA Sara Burns was absolutely amazing very great manners made me very comfortable about my first exam after giving birth covered everything I asked with detail I was very happy with her and hope to see her again. The MA who also assisted was extremely friendly and great personality
I’ve been trying to contact them at least once a week for the past month and a half to schedule an appointment and I can never get through. I have been going to this location for years. The biggest problem they have is trying to schedule appointments over the phone. Some of the doctors there are very informative. When I ask questions they answer them and more. The front desk staff is really friendly and welcoming which is nice to have especially with some of the procedures you are getting there! I just wish scheduling appointments isn’t that difficult!
Fantastic orderly service, with very warm and nurturing environment! Did not keep me detained longer than necessary like most places seem to do, and did not make me feel rushed along. Everyone was super patient with my questions and concerns, and answered everything to the fullest. I love the ability to use a digital pad instead of paperwork to fill out and the website capabilities of checking my medical history and appointments and billing offered by this facility. Would strongly recommend this location to peers in need of a new safe, welcoming gynecologist office.
Went here for an urgent matter and it was cool that they saw me without an appointment, but I did have to walk in to talk to someone. GOOD LUCK getting someone on the phone to help you. Their automated service claims that you can text them for anything you need which is just… not true. Now I have to find a new place to go to. Annoying.
It was my first time here at Garden Obgyn and i felt very comfortable. The staff was very professional and kind! The office was very nice and clean also there was no wait time. Not forgetting my AWESOME DR. ARE for over 6 years shes very friendly, caring, has wonderful bedside manners, listens to everything I have to say and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this practice!
Everyone that I helped me from the reception to checking out which included but not limited the 2 receptionist, nurse, sonogram tech, Dr Are were wonderful. They made me and my daughter feel comfortable and welcomed. It was my daughter’s first gynecologist appointment and I really appreciated the fact that my neither daughter or myself felt awkward. I will gladly recommend Dr Are and the office to anyone need obgyn services!
DO NOT GO HERE !!! Please PLEASE if you care about your health and safety do NOT go to this location they misdiagnosed me and sent me for a surgery that i did not need !! Unethical I have state insurance and have trouble finding adequate doctors so if you are one in the same please take my word that they are NOT safe or diligent !! Please trying to save anyone from the heartache and pain I’ve experienced the past 6 months as a result of Garden Massapequa ! If I could give negative stars I would !!!!
The receptionist was kind and showed concern for me during my time there. Dr. Are was patient, kind, understanding, and provided good information for me and suggestions for my issues. The young nurse who did my intake was barely verbal and I could not understand her. She seemed afraid to raise her voice and did not smile at all. Not great.
Saturday was my first time visit, went in for a yearly check with possibly of being pregnant. The front desk was very very sweet and polite. I didn’t wait long, no long forms to fill out. The PA Dr. Ari was very nice but a little fast & little rough of the pap. Overall a nice office. Sweet people! Going back.
I would rate this place a one star because they were late 45 mins for my appointment as i was waiting in the waiting room and when i went in and waited for the doctor I waited another 30-40 mins till she came. I called on them to ask if they even forgot I was there. i wasted so much time.I literally had my appointment at 12 and left at 2:30 from there. I had to do a UTI test and it was disgusting, I’ve never seen anyone put a paper cup for a test like that, uncovered too. I went in the bathroom and saw a paper cup filled with urine right by the sink. I told the ‘nurse’ because it was truly disgusting and felt like everything was un-sanitized. She said oh yeah I know someone before you went and I just looked at her like okay? Don’t you want to take it. i of course wouldn’t rely on a test that is in a paper cup and you write your name on it with a marker that who knows who or when they touched it……. I was just disgusted from the whole place after this.On the other hand Dr. arie was nice and comfortable. And did the tests that were necessary.
Dr Are is very Friendly and helpful, and i like the way she listens to my problems and take time to explain all my options. Also connect with patient at personal level and very lovely to speak with. I had good visits/guidance through out my pregnancy.
Came here because of the reviews and my friend recommended it. Doctor didn’t listen to me and rushed through the appointment… just bad bedside manners from this particular doctor. I had a horrible experience with my old gynecologist so I had hopes this place would be better.
With a little trepidation after reading the above reviews, I checked in for my 9:30 appointment yesterday...the receptionist was efficient and lovely..I was called in by a smiling medical asst at 9:40..also efficient and lovely..The doctor and her medical student were kind and caring and performed my exam painlessly, the ultrasound tech and her assistant were also lovely. And I was in my car by 10:20...Cant say enough about how great my treatment was! Topnotch Doctor and staff...thanks so much!
Read it, has anyone else been treated like this here? Or was it just to me? Never had a doctor be so dismissive of my concerns. Nor have a sonotech express so much attitude. This was not a good experience for me, but I write this in hopes for thisOffice to have better service and attitude towards it’s patients. Everyone should get treated better with respect as we all deserve. I’ve never been a rude or loud person but Maybe because of this people take advantage and treat me less. Who knows...
All of the staff was pleasant and made you feel comfortable. There was a mix up with my original appointment so I had to make another because my time was pushed back when I called to confirm.. The assistant was very professional
I always love coming back here. Lovely staff and providers.
I went to Garden OB/GYN for my first visit on Saturday. There was maybe a 5 minute wait. they were completely professional and I was very comfortable there. They did an abdominal and vaginal US to make sure everything was normal which my old practice didnt have or they just didnt offered it to me if they did. Would totally recommend!! Very pleased. Thank you Garden!
Dr. Are is amazing! I was having an issue i saw multiple doctors for and she was able to help me right away, i wish i found her sooner, shes my new obgyn. From her bedside manner to the way she explains things i highly recommend this practice
I have a huge problem with this place. It stems from the lack of care put forth by the receptionists. This is by far the most unorganized and inconsiderate medical office I have ever been to. I have been a client at this office for years and have not chose to speak up until now. In order to book an appointment, it takes over an hour on the phone and the receptionists do not pick up. No matter what button you press, it is extremely difficult to obtain any appointments or even patient care for that matter. When calling about lab results, appointments, antibiotic regimens, or any medical questions in general, the receptionists do not answer questions, follow up with the doctors, or even pick up the phone. They have no regard for patient care and in my opinion serve a great barrier to patient health and health promotion in general. How is a patient supposed to advocate for their health when they are faced with so many obstacles put in place by the individuals who are supposed to foster patient and doctor communication. The doctors are considerate and kind but that is overshadowed by the complete lack of care from the receptionists.
Unsure how this place has so many stars. I never leave reviews, but this was necessary, especially when it comes to womens health and this was the worst OBGYN experience I ever had. I waited over an hour and a half just to be seen by the doctor. She said I need an antibiotic and the NP even confirmed my pharmacy with me. A full day later and nothing was sent. I called them and after a half hour wait on the phone they said they would send it now. Hours later and still nothing. I call back and the new care coordinator says it was never put in the system and the doctor who prescribed it is no longer in the office so it cant be sent over. Why the first woman would tell me they would send it over now when they didnt even know what to send over is beyond me. Luckily, she contacted the doctor directly at home and she was able to send it over so I could receive it the next morning, but why should I have to wait 2 days and go on a goose chase for antibiotics? Not to mention the care coordinator pretty much also completely discredited the doctors choice of treatment on the phone. I reached out 10 days ago to be added to their patient portal and still have not heard back from them. This place seems like they are just trying to get as many people in the door as possible and dont really care about the needs of their patients. The issue I went in for still isnt resolved and I will be going elsewhere for a second opinion because I dont even trust their diagnosis at this point. Read their Yelp reviews before you decide to give this place a chance because I definitely wish I did. Now they have also billed me incorrectly and its quite impossible to get in touch with anyone, nor have they answered my pharmacys prescription request. It just keeps getting worse please run from this place.
Wow! So not only do these amazing practitioners stay late so I can have an appointment after work, but they are so professional and kind. The office is warm and hygienic and you can see that they are treating people, not just patients. My exam was comfortable and informative and my blood work was painless. This is my spot.
I really thought I finally found a place that cares. So sorely disappointed. I have never been so bounced around, dismissed and blatantly disregarded. I was willing to overlook having to see a different doctor every time I made an appointment and specifically requested my doctor because they share files and can see my records. This was fine until I actually needed to speak to a doctor. I tried for almost 48 hours, in extreme discomfort and frustration, to at least speak with a doctor and every time I was told a doctor would call me, I did not receive a call back. This was not for general information. I needed help! I know my body better than anyone and needed something simple called in. The receptionist, Jennifer (unfortunately I did not get a last name) was especially dismissive and rude. Not only did she cut me off mid sentence, twice, she also put me on hold in the middle of my sentence when I asked to speak with someone else. This only added to my fear and frustration. I finally got the help I needed after almost 48 hours, 15 calls and about 5 promises of someone calling me back. I understand this is a high volume office but I am not a number! I am a human being with needs and, as a receptionist, or anyone dealing with human beings, especially ones that are extremely uncomfortable and frustrated, you need to be understanding and patient. I sadly will not be returning if this is how things are going to be. I wish everyone else luck but I will be finding a new doctor. Especially one that I get to see when I make an appointment with them. I will say the majority of people I have dealt with had been very polite and accommodating until the last 2 days but thats not enough. This is my body and some situations can be scary. I honestly do not feel cared about here and thats the saddest part. I genuinely hope that no one else has this experience and this is the only reason I feel compelled to share.Update with answer to the reply:Id suggest instead of apologizing after the fact, when youve been called out in public and online, you instead provide this level of urgency and care when the patient (and not your business review) requires it. I do not take or give second chances with my health so I will be going elsewhere. I sincerely hope your patients receive better care than I did.
After seeing how highly rated this group was, I felt very confident booking an appointment for my annual exam. I am sorry to report that my expectations were not met. It is clear that this is very transactional to the doctors and that your care is not personal to you but rather you’re one of many on a conveyor belt. That’s of course the risk you run when you’re being seen at a large practice but never this bad. The girl at the reception desk was speaking very loudly about a private matter involving a patient in distress. I now know this woman’s name, her date of care and her concern. I kept thinking to myself “what if I was on the other end of that call, would I want everyone in the office knowing my business?” The answer is no and it left me wondering if I should even take my appointment. I do not feel that confidentiality is respected nor is the sacred relationship between a patient and their doctor. This was further solidified when I got a letter in the mail about a concern, they couldn’t even take the time to call me, instead I got a profiled letter that they added my name and the date to. Like I said, transactional.
Absolutely fantastic. Staff & my nurse practitioner Jaqueline were patient, caring and concerned. Exactly what any woman wants when they go to an OBGYN. Highly recommend !! Thank you for excellent service. 🙏🏽
The initial visit was okay. I had an appointment for 630 and they called and asked to move the appointment up since they had an opening which was nice but I ended up waiting until almost my original appointment time anyway. Then, after my exam I was going over my medication options with the physician to saw me and when we came to an agreement in which birth control I was going to take I said “ and that’s okay to take with me smoking?” because that’s a very important piece of information when prescribing bc and she didn’t even look at the chart that the previous person wrote and saw that I smoke. THEN , I went for an initial complaint and they did not reach out to me for one month with my results. So they let my condition go for a month without being treated. When I asked for a copy of the results to see the date because they told me they had just got the results in after a month when the physician said it would take one week the most, they told me it’s look on my portal. However they never sent the link to the portal which is needed to log in. They also said they sent my prescription to my pharmacy and never did. They never answer the phone or their texts. Literally the worst dr office I’ve ever been to and I made a complaint with the dept of health since nobody decided to provide me with my medical results. They should get staff who actually follow through on their job responsibilities and actually pay attention to their patients charts before prescribing medication.
Dr. Are is the best. Super sweet and makes you feel comfortable. Was my first visit and I will definitely be back. I booked my appointment online and it literally took 5 minutes. The reception was nice and easy going. Overall an amazing experience and I’m happy to say I will be a forever patient!
Dr.Are was absolutely wonderful. She was patient & the advise she offered was excellent. After the Sonogram she called me to her office & took the time to discuss the results. Will definitely go back to her.
First off- front desk is great, super nice and personable and they explain everything in office great! My first visit with the PA .. I think her name was Dr. Kaur was fantastic. She had great bedside manner and was very thorough and helped address my complaint and answer any questions I had . Today’s visit I saw Dr. Are for my follow up and while she helped address my new diagnosis of PCOS… I came in 2 weeks ago for pain on my left ovary, today I still had some pain and had pain during my PAP and she told me it was likely just due to being overweight… I felt dismissed and defeated after leaving the office but hopeful that maybe things would get better with my new medications. I go to pick up my prescriptions and 1 of them was ready but the other was being denied by my insurance unless the Dr modified her script to say generics were ok… I called the office at 11am.. checked in with my pharmacy now at 6:30pm to try to pick it up before they close- but still nothing from Dr. Are’s office.. I called the office back was told that she she left for the day but left it for another Dr to modify, which wouldn’t happen for at least 24 hours with no explanation to me earlier and I was supposed to start this new regimine tonight. Again, I just am feeling like my concerns are being dismissed because the Dr couldn’t have someone from the front desk call me to just explain this. I’m highly considering seeing if there are other Drs in the practice that I could see or continue my care with the PA. I do have a lot of other underlying issues and have had serious complications before from having my concerns dismissed and I really don’t want that to happen again. Should my experience improve- I will update.
The nurse who checked me in, Maria was smart and friendly. Very sweet young lady. The PA who I saw, Erin was excellent. Asked me probing questions to help me describe my issue and came up with a game plan that we both agreed upon. I will recommend this practice to friends and family.
Waited 2.5 hours for an appointment that was only about 10 minutes long. The young lady who took my vitals, took the blood pressure cuff from off of the floor and proceeded to take vitals without sanitizing it. The person who finally came in didn’t introduce her position, only her name. I’m not sure if I saw the nurse, np, or Doctor. Also she didn’t explain to me that she would need to put a speculum inside of me to collect a culture. I was just told to put my feet up and lay back. Any procedure no matter how simple should be told to your patient and you should make sure that your patient clearly understands and consents before you just do it. Especially something as invasive as that.
It doesnt matter how nice the office is, or how friendly the staff is. What it all comes down to is HOW IMPORTANT YOUR CARE IS TO YOU?I was the first in line today, but after they put me in the room they ended up forgetting about me for over 45 mins! I sat there waiting and watching all those who came after me get their procedures done and go. Even the medical assistant was surprised that I was still sitting there. This place really made it clear to me that theres no shortage of pregnant women and its ok if some fall through the cracks. And the ultrasound tech did not like that I commented on being skipped over. This isnt the kind of care thats acceptable, especially in high risk circumstances.
The good: If you go to this practice, request Dr. Ash specifically. She is just wonderful. I cant say enough good things about her. Likewise, every sono tech there (every one whos done my sonos, anyway) is super-friendly. I have had only good experiences with all of them. The bad: Wait time is almost always long. No communication is offered as to why there is a long wait or when one might hope to be seen. Im usually only called back after Ive been waiting an hour and I go to the front desk to inquire about when Ill be seen. Most of the staff seem ambivalent at best. Staff use their cell phones in patient care areas and often seem too busy chatting with coworkers to give patients their full attention. Im not expecting them to be my best friend, but putting your phone away when youre highly visible in a patient-care area seems like a pretty simple courtesy to me.
Very professional and well staffed. Very friendly and helpful staff
I was called into the room almost immediately and the nurse helped me and told me the doctor would be in shortly. I think I waited a max of 10 minutes and she was in the room with me. She was attentive and answered all of my questions. I recommend garden obgyn highly.
I love this place, i’ve been going here for years. The staff is always so nice. The wait time is a hit or miss, either you wait 30 minutes or 5. The doctors are great, but i always see a different doctor. Would definitely recommend this facility.
Dr. Are was friendly and comforting. I was concerned as I have not been in awhile to an Ob/gyn and this was my first time here. She made me comfortable by talking to me and keeping me calm. Crystal her assistant was so friendly and welcoming. Great office and staff.
I’ve been going to see Dr. Are for 4 years now. The people that work in the office are always friendly and make me feel very comfortable. I also see other doctors if I can’t get with Dr. Are and am always confident I will get the best health care.
Be very careful when visiting this office. They will try to get as much money from you as possible. I went for the first time for a yearly (which is fully covered) and the girl at the front desk said If I had an ultrasound I would need to pay an $80 copay. I thought it was strange as I have never even been suggested an ultrasound during a yearly exam but I thought at least I knew it would be $80. So of course the Dr. tells me she wants to send me for an ultrasound (which I didnt really need as I had no abnormal complaints) and a month later I get a bill for $244. I call the office and they tell me its my deductible. I said I was told I had a $80 copay but never informed of the possibility of a deductible. So now not only do I need to pay the $80 but an additional $244 FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT NEED NOR ASK FOR!!! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere or make sure you do not let them do anything aside from what you went there for unless you are fully informed and have time to call your insurance company. The billing person told me I should have called my insurance prior to going but honestly I knew my visit was covered in full and wasnt expecting to be sent for an ultrasound. I will not be going back as I feel like they were very misleading. Clearly someone had already verified my insurance as they were able to tell me I had an $80 copay but they kept the Deductible part out of it. I would have declined it had I known all of this prior to going.
Ive had a tough time finding a good Dr. that would actually look into things for me and make me feel 100% comfortable and confident about my health. In my past experiences with other doctors I would just go in get my blood pressure taken and my pap smear and get dismissed. I would ask questions and never got solid answers which was discouraging me from following up with my health. As a woman having an caring OBGYN doctor is very important. There are so many questions that one has as a woman that you simply cant just Google it because every woman is different. Dr. Are made sure she answered all of my questions and gave me a plan to follow for my future health regarding plans. Thank you so much for taking your time, being patient and most of all CARING you are truly a blessing. As far as the clinic it is always clean and the staff is great, very friendly and dedicated.
Very friendly staff. There was no wait time whatsoever.
Dr. Pam and Victoria are absolutely Amazing!!! Theyre very thorough and their bedside Manors are gentle. Very patient and are willing to answer any questions you have. The front desk assistant was very helpful and friendly. It was also very welcoming to see a diverse staff.
If I could give 0 stars I would! My entire pregnancy with this OBGYN has been terrible. I would not recommend anyone come to garden OBGYN. Let’s start with I am a high risk patient & have not been treated like one. There’s zero communication with the hospital that I’m going to & their office. There’s also no communication between their calling center & actual office. (Would call to cancel an appointment with the calling service office & then receive a phone call the same day asking to confirm my appointment). The most difficult part of this pregnancy isn’t that I was high risk but that I was a patient at garden OBGYN.
The PAs are all so nice here very personable. Friendly front desk Kudos to all the staff actually I’ve been here 3 times and they have greeted me with smiles. Sometimes there is a wait but, I guess it’s because they spend time with each patient, they really listen to you.
Staff is professional friendly and welcoming. The office decor is updated clean and sanitary. However some repairs and upkeep are needed. Covid protocols adhered to. Love they are available on Saturdays.
I do not recommend this provider for any woman I know. I scheduled an appointment for UTI symptoms on a Monday. I was seen and my urine tested very high for bacteria. I was not given any kind of medication to subside any symptoms or treat what was happening. By Wednesday afternoon, I had to leave work and go to the hospital because I was then suffering from back pain and nausea. The infection had reached my kidneys. I had to be given IV antibiotics and pain medication. The hospital was confused why I hadnt been given a general antibiotic while they waited for lab results. I texted the office through Klara and informed them I was not happy with the care I received. I did not get a response. When the doctor finally called me over a week later to fill a prescription, I informed her of what happened. I did not receive any kind of apology, only an attitude. I guess Ill just void the prescription then. No acknowledgement of the incompetent care I received.I have now been contacted by the billing department saying I owe an $85 balance. My insurance company has informed me I am only responsible for $25, and CVS has no record of outstanding balances for medication. I have not been given any answer as to what the extra $60 charge is from.If you call their contact number and attempt to use extension 6 to reach billing, the system tells you it does not know what you are asking for.Very disappointing service, and dangerous lack of consideration for patients.
Today I had my appt with Dr. Are. Although I didnt like having to waita good 45 minutes, once I was called in, it was very positive. I was treatedvery well, and with respect. Dr. Are is a lovely person, and I appreciatedher opinion on a matter I came to discuss. The person at the desk was very lovely, as was the person who took my temperature, and showed me into the back area.
I have been a patient of Dr. Are for a few years. I had my ovary and tubes removed June of 2019. I had a cyst that was growing in my right ovary. She explained the process throughly and felt so confident with her. She was wonderful and caring day of surgery. She put my husband at ease as well! I am impressed with her friendliness and concern always. Nice bedside manner.
Horrible experience. Finally changed gynecologist practices. I wish I didn’t stay with them during my pregnancy. Here are the multiple things wrong with this place; mind you that I’m not a tough critic but this practice is a mess. Hang in there because this review gradually gets worse and worse. No one picks up the phone, the wait times are ridiculous, sometimes they even ask you to do them a favor and come in early but then you end up waiting two hours in the waiting room anyway. I’ve gotten concerning bloodwork while pregnant with my first child (my glucose levels were critical) but the staff never notified me and I discovered it months later while reviewing my own blood test results on the patient portal. Turns out I was on the cusp of gestation diabetes and no one alerted me.All they care about is money which is why they’ll cram too many people into appointment slots, and not give their patients the care they deserve. Even stranger was that they would have me come in and do sonograms every 2-4 weeks and constantly visit both their Massapequa and Lake Success offices even though I had a healthy pregnancy and it wasn’t medically necessary. They’ll find any excuse to bill the insurance and make an extra dollar. I finally told them to stop doing all the sonograms (checking blood pressure and baby’s heart rate each visit is more than sufficient during a healthy pregnancy. You only need two or three sonograms during your entire pregnancy). They’d also suggest that I visit the Lake Success office every couple of weeks because they “have better equipment. If that’s the case, why should anyone come to the Massapequa office at all? If that’s not bad enough, they rushed me to the hospital because their machine wasn’t picking up my baby’s heartbeat. My husband and I rushed to the hospital teary-eyed thinking we were losing our daughter. When I got to the hospital everything was fine and the baby’s heart rate was healthy. Garden OB/GYN just has bad quality equipment apparently.Furthermore, throughout the nine months of pregnancy, no one would answer me when I’d ask who was delivering my baby. I finally discovered that none of the doctors deliver babies for patients and that they hire a gynecologist from a total different practice to deliver babies on their behalf. How can they call themselves an OB/GYN when they have several offices around Long Island but no competent doctors to deliver their patients’ babies?I only found out who the doctor delivering was two weeks before giving birth because of the fluke situation where my husband and I rushed to the hospital due to my daughter’s heartbeat not showing up on their equipment. It just so happened to be that the doctor delivering our baby was working at the hospital that day and notified us he’d be delivering her because “He delivers for all of Garden OB/Gyns patients.”Unfortunately for me, that doctor ended up leaving some of the placenta in me (my whole childbirth was mayhem) so now I’m in the process of scheduling a D&C with a totally different gynecologist because these people are incompetent. I’m eight weeks postpartum and the placenta IS STILL IN ME. They prescribed me Cytotec twice to try to get the placenta out and it didn’t work. Now, Garden OB/GYN offered to monitor the placenta via sonograms every two weeks in case it miraculously disappears. I have a baby to take care of and will not waste time and money seeing them that frequently just to hear it’s still there and be more aggravated. They also offered to do the D&C in their office but I don’t trust them because I suffered from uterine atony and hemorrhaging during child birth and I’m at risk of that happening again. In summary, if you want your pregnancy and child birth to involve as little stress as possible, please avoid this place. I should’ve listened to the multiple people who warned me about them (family members, friends, even doctors and nurses that I know). I had to learn the hard way how terrible this practice is.
I was glad that jaskirat kaur (the nurse practitioner) took me in. She was very attentive, quick, informative, and also very sweet. She helped me calmed down bc it was my first time at the gyno and she could tell that I was nervous. She was also very gentle and quick lol!! The ladies there are also very very kind. 10/10 would go again.
Friendly, I had Julia who was wonderful and very charming and caring. I was extremely nervous and took all my concerns away no matter what the outcome will be. I appreciated her professionalism and kindness EC
Easy to get an appt within a few days but wait time has increased recently. That and sometimes they say they called in a medication but didn’t. Besides that, I love seeing Pam for my appts. She’s the best!
Should have listened to bad reviews. So long story short I went to this clinic within my first trimester of pregnancy. The visit took nearly 2 hours most of what was waiting. Never received a follow up call from the doctor about my blood labs all I got is a call from CVS that my proscription is ready. Lab results showed an issiue and I was never contacted nor told how and why I should take the medication. I end up having miscarriage. Called more than dozen of times no answer. Texted to have DR contact me and am still waiting. I was not even able to reschedule my visit. This clinic needs to start treating the patients as human beings not just numbers. Will never recommend this place to a pregnant woman you are deemed for a lot of additional stress.
False Test Results-I went to another facility & got retested (after every time I went there-a new diagnoses)totally different results. This place is money hungry & does not have your best interest at heart. I got resent the same medication 2x & they kept trying to prescribe additional medications without proper explanation. Contacting them is the worse-I had to contact the doctor for nearly a week straight just to get a callback as to why so many calls from different ppl telling me over the phone false diagnoses & no one could explain-How I felt it was a violation of Hippa as the doctor could have easily told me during multiple follow up visits as well as being prescribed the same medication 2x after instead of having a rep call. Also I’m not going to start with billing. They need to be ashamed and reported to the state, DOH & BBB. No one likes their health to be played with.
I look forward to my appointments at Garden OBGYN, everyone in the office is so friendly and welcoming! They always get me in & out and I’ve never spent more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Thank you ladies! ❤️
The wait for a sonogram was too long, but the doctor was able to give me results real fast. The appointment reminders are borderline harassment.
Office staff was friendly and professional. Wait time was not long. Office was spotless and I felt very comfortable with the provider. Highly recommend this practice to others
I have been a patient at Garden Massapequa for 3+ years. Every doctor and nurse I have seen has been polite and professional. Thank you for all your help!
I came for a 1:10 appointment on my lunch break and waited an hour before being called in. All those who arrived after me were called before me. When I was finally called in, it took an additional 30 minutes before the sonogram person came in and an additional 7 minutes for the doctor to come in. If you are able to go to the Garden City location, please just go there. It’s a much better facility, cleaner, and so much more professional. I have never experienced such lack of punctuality at the Garden city location. Don’t waste your time at the Massapequa location. Took a total of 2 hours for a simple check up that should have taken 15 minutes. The only positive was that the staff was extremely nice and the doctor who did finally see me was very pleasant as well.
Had a great pregnancy experience here. The staff was amazing and on top of any issues I experienced. The pandemic started in the middle of my second trimester and staff made me feel comfortable. Dr. Are took great care of me and baby and deliver my bAbe via C section. Would go back if I have another baby
I really appreciate it if you guys stop calling for an appointment every year, each I get the call (which Ive moved on to a better facility) I ask for my results its been almost four years. Stop pretending to care. Thank you
After leaving a negative review it makes me feel better that the manager and team care Naica called to apologize and make things right.
My my first visit at the office was amazing. Dr. Ash was very patient and kind. I was a bit nervous and apprehensive about seeing a new gynocologist. But Dr. Ash with a big smile reassured me that she understood my concerns and needs ,after such a long journey. This was very reassuring and made my visit as pleasant as possible. The Staff was very friendly the minute I walked through the door. From the receptionist to the Medical Assistance Krystal that greets you once enter the wonderful womens home base as my mother would say. Krystals warm smile and personality made me feel at home.I thank you again Dr. Ash for you kindness. There is hope!!!See you in 2weeks😊
This was my first time at this office and it is a beautiful and very clean place, the receptionist was very sweet. Dr. Are was absolutely amazing!!! I felt so comfortable with her. You guys have gained a patient because Im definitely returning. If you or anyone you know are looking for a OB/GYN this is the place to go!!!
This year I have officially been a patient of Dr Terrani’s practice for 20 years. I have been trying to conceive for the last two years, unfortunately I had a miscarriage last march. I have been coming into their office regularly over the last 6 months while they track my cycle in preparation of having an IUI. I have made no changes with my insurance and I filled out all paperwork regarding my insurance information prior to my appointment. Today I had an appointment this morning for a sonogram with a possible IUI and showed up to their office with specimen in hand. They informed me at the desk that todays visit would be out of pocket and that they no longer accept my health insurance. I understand that policies change all the time, however with the amount of confirmation text messages they send out for appointment confirmations and paperwork that gets filled out prior to your visit I should have been notified. Instead they waited till I got to the front desk to inform me and I did what anyone wanting to have a child would do…pay the bill…I will not be returning.
Was seen by PA Albert today and was very satisfied with my visit. Check-in was quick and efficient even under COVID circumstances. Medical assistant was professional and courteous. The PA listened to my issues and answered all my concerns. She subsequently ordered appropriate tests to ensure all my concerns were addressed. Thanks PA Albert! Certainly recommend this office.
The experience was fast , not rushed. I am a busy person and fast and informal is perfect. I went in for an iud removal, took no more than 30 minutes from the minute I walked in and walked out. The doctor was very pleasant and front desk was great and vibrant.
Went for my yearly check up and from the moment I walked in till the time I left every staff member and doctor was amazing ! I had a very complete exam and sonogram and doctor explained all details . The wait wasn’t long and my checkout and follow appointment was made quickly .
I always feel so comfortable with the staff here. Everyone is so polite and eager to help. I especially enjoy that the staff is mostly female. With going to an OBGYN its a lot more comforting to know that it is other ladies taking care of your lady parts. I always feel heard, understood, and more informed about what I came in for after I leave.
The Service was awesome, staff was great…the text messages, appt reminders, phone calls were annoying
I was supposed to have gotten a prescription for an iud. 2 months ago!!! I cant ever get in contact with anyone, they never respond to my texts, phone calls no one knows whats going on. Today only because i called do they tell me its not covered. after 2 months only today you know? Is this a joke? I was very satisfied at first but now i am just irritated this is not the way to make patients feel comfortable. The lack of communication is appalling.
Editing to add -- I continue to have difficulty with this office. Over 6 weeks have passed since I had testing done here and I still have had no phone call from the office with my results which WERE NOT NORMAL which I know since my primary pulled down the results from the lab. They have brushed me off when Ive called, and told me that the providers see over 50 patients a day and that is why they can not call back patients - there is not enough time. This is a factory, in and out, without any patient care. I am still waiting over 3 weeks for my medical records and although they reply to this review telling me to email them, I have done so with no response. Negligent office that does not care about their patients. One star is way too many for this office. If you want to go to the doctor and then never have them call you back with your test results - or to schedule the procedures that the medical receptionists are telling you they can see the doctor wants you to have in your chart - then this is the place for you. I went to this doctor bc I was having some concerns with my cycles. She felt I needed a procedure - but wanted to run labs first to test my hormones and some other levels - a month and a half has passed and Ive called 5 times and never got a call back and was never called to schedule the procedure that its written on my chart that I need. Thankfully my primary accessed my lab results and read them to me so that I could begin treatment, and Ive since made an appt with another ob to continue my care. Terrible office. Stay far away.
I’m posting from my fiancé’s phone because I don’t have gmail. (My name is Deisly.)Very clean, cozy spot. I love that they have their own office and building which makes it so much easier for parking..Front desk was quick and super nice.(Tina was a sweetheart and made me feel comfortable and safe.)Dr. Are took her time to explain to me everything, was extremely helpful and kind. I will be returning to them. The entire staff was awesome!
Only cares about money!!! If you are simply looking for a doctor to do an annual exam and prescribe birth control, DO NOT GO HERE. Will hold your prescription hostage so they can make a couple more dollars forcing you to come in for a 5 minute appointment even though you are up to date with your annual. Front desk staff is also rude and make it clear they dont care about any patients.
I was taken very soon after arriving and all staff were professional, but warm. However, like so many practices, it seems more likely that you will see a nurse practitioner versus a doctor, asdid I.
The staff / doctors are all wonderful!! The facility is clean, private and very comfortable. My appointment was at 4:10 and I was early. I was seen ahead of my time even thought I messed up the timing with no issue.
Waiting time is ridiculous! This is my 7th year coming to this practice and every year the wait time gets worse and worse.... at least 3 patients had to reschedule while I was there waiting to be called in...today I came to an annual appointment I made online, and I waited over 1 and half hours to be called!!! Once inside, the nurse told me I couldn’t get a pap-smear because I was short of a month for my annual and that insurance wouldn’t cover it.... this could have been easily avoided by telling me over the phone when I first made my appointment which I clearly said was for an annual visit or at the very least when I first checked-in with the receptionist. This is just very disappointing! Get your over-scheduling under control!
Was given the wrong results... I went to this office a few months ago and was told I have heart shaped uterus and if I were to get pregnant then it would be high risk etc...was also told I was at risk due to my pap test. Ive been stressed and anxious for months over the news Garden OB/GYN gave me - fast forward I just went to a new GYNO today and they told me that I in fact do NOT have anything wrong with my uterus and my results of my pap test were nothing to worry about. Im very saddened by the service of treatment I was given at Garden OB/GYN Massapequa. I hope this does/has not happened to other patients of theirs....
This is my first baby and Im 26 weeks pregnant.End of last week I was feeling some soreness on my belly. I wasnt overly concerned but I felt I should ask my Dr if this was normal. I reached out to the number they provided me if I have anything questions or concerns, That was at 630 pm on thrusday. I ended up falling asleep and waking to no message. Friday I texted the normal text line and then called the patient care line. As I was on the phone with with I got a text back from the normal Karla asking what was wrong but I was already speaking to someone. The woman I spoke with at 11 on Friday said she sent over my information for my Dr to call me. Well no one did!! At this point I was feeling better But getting concerned that I literally cant get in touch with anyone!!!!! What if going into early labor!!! Saturday I did I have a appointment for my sugar test so knew I would be able to talk to someone.I told the doctor what had happened and how I feeling uncomfortable I cant get intouch with anyone. She gave me another number that could be better for me to get intouch with someone i SAID COULD be better?!! Thats very scary!!! She said sorry this is what it is. I was floored!!! Needless to say I will never step foot in that place again!!! Im not putting my or my unborn baby life in danger!!I dont recommend them what so ever!
I’ve been going here for years..Dr Gupta is awesome..overall the doctors are great and you can be rest assured they are fully taking care of you. The problem? The wait time. Last month I had my appointment here at Massapequa and waited for three hours..yes three. Why didn’t I just leave? Because I’m 32 weeks pregnant. I asked the doctor what they’re doing about this because it’s ridiculous and unfortunately all the doctor said was there’s nothing they can do obviously because they have no control. I then started going to Commack thinking it’ll be a little less busy..wrong, I’ve been waiting over an hour already for my appointment today. Please please please, if anyone from upper management cares about their patients and the success of the practice please stop overbooking patients. It is really inconsiderate and so unbelievably unfair to do this to people. Yes you can have quality care here, but for a price!
